Bealach Uige guest house provides a touch of Highland luxury for visitors to the Trotternish Peninsula of Skye. We are situated in the quiet Gaelic speaking crofting village of Staffin. Staffin is 16 miles North of the capital Portree, 50 miles from the toll free bridge and a 20 minute drive to Uig ferry terminal.
The house is off the main road and has stunning panoramic sea and mountain views of the Trotternish Ridge from the Old man of Storr to the Quiraing. Staffin is the ideal place for exploring the north end of Skye, There are various walks for all levels, spectacular scenery, loch fishing, boat trips and in nearby Kilmuir there is the Skye Museum of Island Life. There are a eating places in the village, two shops and an Internet Cafe.
We have lived on the island all our lives and will be more than happy to share with you our knowledge of local history, culture, scenery, wildlife and other attractions.
